Speakers: Dr. Alan Kreider, AMBS Professor Emeritus. Dr. Mary Schertz will give a blessing to the graduates and Dr. Jamie Pitts will give a charge to the graduates.

Location: Thresher Stadium (if raining, the event will move to Memorial Hall)
Speaker: Daniel Hege, widely recognized as one of America’s finest conductors. He served for 11 seasons as music director of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. In June 2009, he was appointed music director of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and, as of the 2015-16 season, is principal guest conductor of the Tulsa Symphony.

Speaker: Loren Swartzendruber, EMU president. This will be Swartzendruber’s last commencement as president. After 13 years of service, he is retiring on June 30.

Speaker: Dr. John D. Roth, professor of history and director of the Mennonite Historical Library at Goshen (Indiana) College and editor of the Mennonite Quarterly Review.

Speaker: Carrie Newcomer, an Indiana-based singer-songwriter, author and a 1980 Goshen College alumna
