I was encouraged by your Nov. 24 article on The Ark [an LGBTQ-affirming Anabaptist church in British Columbia led by a former Mennonite Brethren pastor couple]. I attended Cedar Park Mennonite Brethren Church in Ladner, B.C., until a similar situation took place: The British Columbia Mennonite Brethren Conference refused to discuss the LGBTQ issue and instead chose a hard-line view against affirming this group, decertified our pastors and caused a tragic split in the church community.
