Nobel Prize winner aligned with harmful policies
A mix of vision, necessity and desire for unity led the Mennonite Brethren Church of Manitoba and Mennonite Church Canada to merge their colleges in Winnipeg to create Canadian Mennonite University in 2000. And that spirit continues today.
“I used to play with my matchbox cars on the mosque’s carpet frames,” said artist Harout Bastajian, who now lives in Dearborn, Michigan. “I somehow grew up in the part of Lebanon during the war where Christians (and) Muslims lived in harmony.”
