I am deeply disappointed that Mosaic Conference is leaving Mennonite Church USA (December). I’m excited about much of what is happening in Mosaic, especially the inclusion of churches made up mostly of recent immigrants. And I was excited when MC USA adopted the 2022 resolution repenting of the harm its policies caused to LGBTQ+ Christians. It makes me sad that Mosaic and MC USA haven’t been flexible enough to stay together. I want our churches to include both recent immigrants and LGTBQ+ people, whose gifts can help God’s kingdom flourish on Earth as it does in heaven.
