Online voters chose Elizabeth Derstine’s creative video, “Money Talks: The Wallet Diaries,” as the winning production in the Everence Money Talks video contest. Derstine, of Goshen, Indiana, will receive a $1,000 cash prize for winning the contest and as part of the shared prize, a $1,000 grant will go to her selected charity, Cambodian Center for Human Rights.
Brian Krehbiel of North Newton, Kansas, placed second for his video, “The Walk of Life.” He will receive a $500 cash prize and $500 will go to his chosen charity of Heifer International.
The third-place finisher was Austin Swartzendruber of Atmore, Alabama, for his production, “Good. Evil. Money.” He will receive a $250 prize, and $250 will go to his selected charity of Sav-A-Life Escambia County Alabama.
The contest was open to young people ages 15-25 who wanted to use their creative talents to produce a video about the role of money and finances and share their messages with others.
