Thanks for the article about the Mennonite/s Writing Conference (page 34, published earlier at anabaptistworld.org). I especially appreciated the comment that “Mennonite news writing, especially print newspapers such as The Budget and Die Mennonitische Post . . . are thriving examples of Anabaptist and Mennonite writing.” As a longtime reader of The Budget, I have often been fascinated and inspired by writers whose Budget letters, as you say, “nurture community bonds and encourage faithfulness.”
