Ted Bergey’s Sept. 25 letter, “Both pro-life and pro-choice,” makes no logical or moral sense. We pro-lifers want abortion to be illegal because we wish to protect unborn children from lethal violence. Life begins at the moment of fertilization, and I would affirm the civil rights of our unborn sisters and brothers even if someone proved there is no God.
Bergey says he is against capital punishment. So am I, and I’m not pro-choice about it. I want to deny the right of anyone to execute a criminal.
The idea that killing the innocent unborn is a matter of choice is one of the most obscene, evil, barbaric and reprehensible ideas ever to enter the human mind.
