Paul Arthur Schmidt, 67, of Madison, Wis., formerly of St. Louis, died Sept. 8, 2020, at UW Hospital and Clinics.
Chester L. Wenger, his wife, Sara Jane, and three preschool daughters went to Ethiopia in 1949 with Eastern Mennonite Missions to begin mission efforts. Their efforts contributed to the founding and growth of the Meserete Kristos Church, which has become the world’s largest Anabaptist church.
Janet Sprunger, a mission worker for 40 years in Taiwan and Hong Kong, died Sept. 13 at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in Harrisonburg at the age of 92.
Chester Lehman Wenger, 102, of Lititz, Pa., died Oct. 1, 2020, at Landis Homes.
