And God scrunched into wee flesh
and hunkered down
in a lackluster neighborhood,
yielded to swaddling clothes, taxes,
and humility.

            Ocean became a droplet
            Wind, a whisper
            Bread, a kernel
            Winter a mere snowflake

Mystery disguised
slipped into the cosmos,
the Boundless bound
by a throbbing holy love.
