And God scrunched into wee flesh
and hunkered down
in a lackluster neighborhood,
yielded to swaddling clothes, taxes,
and humility.
Ocean became a droplet
Wind, a whisper
Bread, a kernel
Winter a mere snowflake
Mystery disguised
slipped into the cosmos,
the Boundless bound
by a throbbing holy love.
