The Schowalter Foundation has appointed Diane Yoder president and general manager.
Yoder grew up near Hesston, Kan., and remains active in the family’s farming operations. She attended Hesston College and Wichita State University, earning a master’s degree in business administration.
Yoder served on the Schowalter Foundation Board of Directors in the late 1990s. She has served in roles such as vice president of marketing for Bluestem Communities, executive director of a nonprofit organization serving adults with development disabilities, community liaison for the largest hospice provider in Arizona, college administration and instructional roles.
Located in North Newton, Kan., the foundation manages more than $27 million in farmland and investments for charitable purposes. Each year, nearly $1 million in income is distributed to charitable causes.
