Anabaptist World received three awards from Associated Church Press for work published in 2021. ACP announced the awards May 12.
Associate editor Tim Huber received a first-place Award of Excellence in the “denominational politics” newswriting category for “California MB congregation suspended over LGBTQ-affirming proposal,” published Nov. 26, 2021.
AW’s report on the Mennonite Church USA convention, published Aug. 6, 2021, won an Award of Excellence for “meeting or convention coverage.” Editor Paul Schrag wrote the articles from Cincinnati, and Tim Huber contributed remote reporting. Ken Krehbiel took the photos, and Hannah Gerig Meyer designed the pages.
AW’s “Letters & Comments” page in the May 28, 2021, issue won a second-place Award of Merit in the “letters to the editor” category.
