Hesston College will inaugurate its 10th president, Mark Landes, during Homecoming activities Sept. 26-28.
The ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. Sept. 27 at Hesston Mennonite Church, with a reception to follow.
“This is a moment for our whole community to reflect on what makes Hesston College unique and to dream together about where God is leading us,” Landes said. “I’m deeply honored to serve and walk alongside our students, employees, alumni and friends as we pursue that vision.”
Activities include a family festival concert by Thorn Haze, a book signing of Finding Ourselves in God’s Story with Michele Hershberger, athletic events and alumni gatherings.
Athletic Hall of Fame inductees for 2025 are coach Francis “Fran” Chupp; athletes Larry Beckler, Craig Birky, Christy (Walker) Cornell, Jill (Troyer) Miller, Nolan King; and the 1966 men’s soccer team.
Sunday concludes the weekend with worship and fellowship at Hesston Mennonite Church, featuring a message from former President Loren Swartzenduber. More details and a complete schedule are at hesston.edu/homecoming.
