It’s not the government’s job

Scripture teaches Christians to feed the hungry and care for the poor. Our failure to do so has given the government a reason to do it. Government is put in place to take care of evildoers (Roman 13:1-4), and we pray for a quiet and peaceful life (1 Timothy 2:1-2). To expect the government to do our work is shirking our duty. Churches and individuals are much better managers.
