Regarding Mennonite World Conference rejecting Stanley Green as a North American representative (December): That we don’t have enough grace to meet the low bar of forbearance (Romans 2:4) stretches the limits of my forbearance. As a Canadian, it concerns me that three U.S. Mennonite organizations have such sway as to determine who will represent all North American Mennonites. It feels like the expectation of forbearance is going only in one direction. This is a quick path to irrelevance and further fragmentation. Surely, a better solution is possible.
