Church of the Brethren membership in the United States and Puerto Rico is 87,181, representing a loss of more than 4,000 members over the previous year.

Statistics were shared in the 2022 Church of the Brethren Yearbook, recently published. It reported more than 87,000 members in 24 districts and 887 local worshiping communities, with average denominational worship attendance of 23,164.

Church of the Brethren Newsline reported membership in 2017 was 109,259 in 999 congregations, fellowships and new church starts. The greatest losses took place in 2019-20, when 7,072 members in 63 worshiping communities either became inactive or left the denomination.
