Charlottesville Mennonite Church in Virginia dedicated its new ministry house Oct. 13.
Known as Crossroads, the house is primarily used to host families with patients facing sensitive medical situations like bone marrow transplants, stem cell transplants and pediatric intensive care at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
The house was refurbished over a number of years with volunteer labor from the congregation and other Mennonite communities.
It has occasionally been used for spiritual direction and inner-healing retreats and occasional emergency needs by members of the church.
