Stanley W. Green, executive conference minister of Pacific Southwest Conference of Mennonite Church USA, will end his role in January.

Green shared during the conference’s June 13 online annual delegate session that he and his wife, Ursula, will relocate to Illinois to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

“I have loved my work in the PSMC and the people I was privileged to work with,” he said. “I would have loved to be in the Southwest forever, but I knew that if God called, that would have to change. Ursula and I have experienced an invitation to provide care and support for our children as a God-sanctioned call.

“Also, Ursula has been willing to accompany me wherever God has called me, and now I feel like it is my turn to follow her sense of call to support our children, even if it comes with sadness, loss and lament.”
