Thank you for highlighting poetry in the Books Issue (October). Of course, writing cannot be “Mennonite,” but writers can be, and we bring our experiences to our writing. Much of scripture was written as poetry, and we could use some new scripture today. Poetry opens a door to new understanding and may be part of the hope we need today.
