Commentary, not canon

The Sept. 23 issue contains articles about the creation of an Anabaptist Bible. This title troubles me because “Anabaptist Bible” implies the creation of new texts. The project as described is a Bible commentary. I fully support a Jesus-centered reading of Scripture, but I plead for honesty in the language to describe the project: “Anabaptist Commentary on the Bible” would be a better title than “Anabaptist Bible.”
