Dock Mennonite Academy in Lansdale, Pa., has named 2001 graduate Jason Moyer superintendent. He will succeed Conrad Swartzentruber, who will retire at the end of the school year.
Moyer served as vice president of enrollment management and executive director of partnerships and innovation at Malone University in Canton, Ohio, where he also worked as the department chair and a tenured faculty member in the Department of Communication. Most recently, he was the chief academic officer of Zollikon Institute in Holmes County, Ohio.
Moyer earned his doctorate in communication from the University of Iowa and a bachelor of arts degree from Bluffton University. His family attends Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Hartville, Ohio. He was a longtime board member of The Mennonite, a predecessor of Anabaptist World.
“I am deeply honored to return to Dock Mennonite Academy, a place that has profoundly shaped my life and faith,” Moyer said. “As an alumnus, I know firsthand the transformative power of a Jesus-centered education, and I am committed to ensuring that Dock continues to deliver exceptional learning experiences while fostering the spiritual growth of each student.”
The Dock Board of Trustees made the announcement March 18.
