Ecumenical comforters

I am a Mennonite at heart, but as there is no Mennonite church in our town I have been a member of a Christian Reformed church for 29 years. When I read in MWR about comforters being sent to Mennonite Central Committee (“Joy of Giving Multiplies Again,” June 5), I thought I would see if Christian Reformed ladies could knot as well as Mennonite ladies, and I think the answer is yes. After piecing five comforters, I gathered together about 12 ladies, and only two had knotted before, but they learned quickly. So these five comforters are ecumenical ones, pieced by a Mennonite in her heart, knotted by Christian Reformed ladies and sent to MCC! This was also a way to inform them about the work of the Mennonites, as I hung up the articles from MWR.
