Israel-Palestine resolution tabled for two years

Delegates voted to table the Israel-Palestine resolution for two years by a 55 percent majority. The vote was 418 in favor, 336 opposed, while 28 abstained.

Some wanted to redraft it and present it at this convention. But those on the resolution committee have other commitments, and because of the range of opinions represented the day before, a simple rewrite would likely not be adequate, said Patricia Shelly, so it will not be revisited here.

Instead it will come to the delegate assembly in two years.
