Obvious exclusion

It is too bad a clear reason wasn’t given for South Central Conference withdrawing from Mennonite Church USA (Aug. 4), as if it was ashamed to admit bigotry, when it obviously desires to exclude the LGBTQ+ community. It gives Anabaptism a black eye. Lancaster Conference withdrew more openly, and other churches continue to waste energy struggling with what I consider a non-­issue. My membership is now with a United Methodist congregation that disaffiliated from the United Methodist denomination over exclusion policies.
