Regarding two Letters & Comments of July 27: “MEA: Too Little, Too Late on Climate Change?” and “What Will We Do About Environmental Crisis?” (the latter’s first sentence reads, “Our environmental crisis is obvious”): Isn’t it about time Mennonites recognize this apocalyptic scare for what it is? Why not read and review Michael Shellenberger’s recent demythologization of this craze, Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All? Shellenberger’s parents (Robert Shellenberger and Nancy O’Brien) are graduates of the former Bluffton College.
