Anabaptist Disabilities Network has published a baptism curriculum for youth and adults with intellectual disabilities.

“Believing and Belonging: An Accessible Anabaptist Membership Curriculum” is a tool for communities working toward full inclusion. It can help congregations respond to the Accessibility Resolution Mennonite Church USA delegates approved in 2022. It is designed as a yearlong preparation for a decision about baptism and church membership. The teacher’s edition includes a guide for next steps if the ability to choose baptism seems unclear.

Each story features an illustration or photos to assist in understanding. Action items provide a learning-through-doing approach. The curriculum is available for purchase at BrethrenPress.com.
