The Associated Mennonite Churches in Germany and Colombian Mennonite Church are establishing sister-church exchanges by building online relationships.
Creating links at the congregational level, a group of young (and young-at-heart) people have met twice online to read the Bible together in a test phase. Meetings are typically held in English, with the possibility of subgroups meeting in Spanish.
“Reading together, talking and sharing experiences in this context enriches your own perspective and reading,” said one participant in a report at mennonews.de.
This smaller group is now extending invitations to people in each conference to attend the next meeting on Jan. 9.
