A May 5 fire caused an estimated $400,000 damage to a church building owned by Mount Airy Mennonite Church in Maryland.

Fox45 News reported the one-story brick church was not actively being used by the congregation, but the property was maintained.

The blaze started in the attic and no injuries were reported.

The congregation transitioned in 2004 from Lancaster Mennonite Conference to Biblical Mennonite Alliance, but was no longer listed in BMA’s 2023 directory.
