The rise of the ISIS movement shocks and frightens and gives us a feeling of despair. These forces of savagery are unimaginable, and the worst may be yet to come. It makes us wonder about the causes of such horror. Is this the time in history when Christians can offer a glimmer of hope by showing the reconciling way of Jesus Christ? This would mean constantly working and advocating to put a stop to the slaughter of Palestinians. And it would mean putting a stop to the invasions of Muslim countries by our own country. Is it possible that now is a time when the biblical vision of God’s people becoming a light to the nations actually comes true?
