Mennonite Mission Network appointed Ana Alicia Hinojosa senior executive for Ventures April 21.
Hinojosa joined MMN in 2022 as director of constituent engagement. She became interim senior executive for Ventures in 2023. Her efforts have been instrumental in maintaining and enhancing service programs, developing learning materials, facilitating peace workshops and connecting with conferences and congregations.
In Ventures, Hinojosa will oversee global ministry initiatives, forge strategic partnerships and ensure financial health.
Hinojosa was immigration education program coordinator at Mennonite Central Committee from 2016 to 2022.
She co-pastors New Life Christian Center in San Benito, Texas, and serves on the pastoral leadership group at Unidad Cristiana de Iglesias Menonitas (Unity Christian Mennonite Churches), South Texas Region.
She has a master of education degree in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish and psychology from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
Her proficiency in English and Spanish, coupled with her passion for immigrant justice and community empowerment, enriches her ability to lead with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
