Rachel Stella of Tiskilwa, Ill., is Mennonite World Review’s new assistant editor and Web editor.
She comes to MWR from the NewsTribune in La Salle, Ill., where she was media editor. She managed the newspaper’s website as well as a quarterly women’s magazine and wrote opinion pieces and feature stories. As a reporter and copy editor, she brings community news experience.
Stella has a bachelor’s degree in mass communication, with a concentration in journalism, from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill.
She is part of Plow Creek Mennonite Church in Tiskilwa.
She succeeds Kelli Yoder, who served three years on the MWR staff, working from Virginia. She is pursuing new opportunities.
In addition to reporting, writing and editing, Stella will maintain and develop MWR’s website, mennoworld.org. She will manage online advertising and edit MWR’s blog, The World Together.
