Never too late to reconcile

I joined Ames Mennonite Fellowship in 1981 while attending graduate school at Iowa State University. At that time, I was Catholic, and AMF was a dual-conference church: Central District Conference of the General Conference Mennonite Church and Iowa-Nebraska Conference of the Mennonite Church. Keith Schrag performed the baptism (“Ministry credential restored; conference apologizes for exclusion” Aug. 4). The ministry work of Keith and his wife, Rhoda, meant so much to me. I remain grateful to this day. I affirm the Central District litany of lament and restoration. It is never too late for reconciliation.
