Sharon Norton has been hired by the Church of the Brethren as executive director of Global Mission and will begin Dec. 2.
Her previous mission work spans 27 years, including the most recent four years as Mennonite Mission Network co-administrator for Europe and Africa.
Previously, she served 14 years in Germany with Eastern Mennonite Missions and MMN. She teaches German at Goshen Junior High School in Indiana and is transitional pastor at Fellowship of Hope Mennonite Church in Elkhart.
Ordained in Mennonite Church USA, Norton was a licensed minister with the Church of the Brethren in Goshen from 2014 to 2017.
She holds a master’s degree in theological studies with a concentration in biblical studies from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary.
