Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton, Pa., held a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 21 to launch its welcome center. The center provides space for volunteer orientations that happen two to three times a week.

The new welcome center also houses offices and a conference room and is more easily accessible for potential volunteers. It was previously located in a hard-to-reach area near the back of the facility.

Care & Share, a ministry of Mosaic Mennonite Conference, began in 1975. It now operates five shops in Souderton Shopping Center that support Mennonite Central Committee. With the new welcome center, the specialties department expanded into the 2,000-square-foot space where the old welcome center was located.
