I wish Conrad Kanagy (columns, Dec. 22) had been at Elizabethtown College when I was a student there. He shares priceless wisdom that I have only recently come to appreciate. If I had been one of his students, I could have learned much earlier to reduce my egoic mindset and increase my humility. Thank you, AW, for his insights, and thank you, Professor Kanagy, for the gift of your presence and teaching at my alma mater. I spent much of my time there chasing the wisdom of this world. Few of us understood that we needed to become more childlike to enter the kingdom of heaven. I used to chase after the kingdom of heaven until I realized it is within me, as Jesus said.
