Will males learn?

Hesston College needs to be complimented for “Hesston dedicates healing circle acknowledging shortcomings” (Dec. 22). As a former sex-offender treatment provider, I would estimate the large majority of offenders were male. Let’s address the root causes of sexual abuse through education for males. This education needs to be age appropriate, spiritually, culturally and family appropriate. It needs to challenge ideas, teachings and practices surrounding males as social and sexual humans. Males should learn about boundaries, informed consent, social norms and spiritual values. Ideally, this would be taught in the home, but in many cases that doesn’t happen.
