Has the world infiltrated the mainline Mennonite church? The church should be a place for anyone to go to for the redemption of our souls, not to justify our sins. It is grief beyond measure to witness the recent articles, letters and editorials in these pages, especially the Aug. 29 issue. We still belong to a Mennonite church, although our congregation left Mennonite Church USA after it was seen that churches did not use discipline, as the apostles instructed, for leaders who clearly are living in sin. I personally made a plea to the executive leaders, but to no avail.
