Anabaptist World won four awards at the Associated Church Press convention May 16 in Toronto:

— The first-place Award of Excellence for convention coverage for the August 2025 issue, which featured the Mennonite Church USA convention;

— The first-place Award of Excellence for letters to the editor;

— An honorable mention for a theme issue for the March 2025 issue, which featured “Haven for Exiles: Living the Call to Welcome the Stranger.”

— An honorable mention for theological reflection (short format), for “Tender Words for Fearful Skeptics” by Brenda Hostetler Meyer.

The judge described the convention package as “an exemplary piece of magazine journalism that moves beyond coverage to interpretation” with a “breadth of content . . . [that] creates a comprehensive and engaging reading experience.” The design is “visually . . . dynamic and inviting.”

In addition to AW editor Paul Schrag and AW photographer Juan Moya, reporters/writers/photographers Sierra Ross Richer, Mackenzie Miller and Camille Dager contributed to the convention coverage. AW designer Hannah Gerig Meyer designed the pages.
