Nancy Kauffmann, a founding board member of Dove’s Nest, will serve as ­interim executive director of the abuse-prevention organization.

She succeeds Anna Groff, who served almost six years as executive director.

Kauffmann has served on the board of directors since 2009, most recently as board president. She has served in ministry leadership roles at congregational, conference and denominational levels for 40 years. She is a member of College Mennonite Church in Goshen, Ind.

Ben Woodward-Breckbill, associate pastor of Shalom Mennonite Church in Newton, Kan., will transition from board vice president to acting president.
