Ecumenical education

I’m grateful for the Salt & Light Bible study series (“Freedom to be distinctively Anabaptist,” May 27) developed by a team of Mennonite and United Methodist Bible scholars and educators. For several years I served as a consultant for the Parish Resource Center, an ecumenical resource for congregations in Lancaster, Pa. During that time, I became acquainted with Christian nurture material from the United Methodist denomination. I was particularly impressed with the material developed for adult Sunday school classes. It was often of a quality as good as or better than what was offered by the Mennonites. Thanks to MennoMedia for engaging with the Methodists in this venture.
