I affirm David D. Flowers’ “Scattered Souls” (May 9). In our Western worldview and culture, we seldom hear someone openly refer to the devil, demonic forces and principalities and powers as if they really exist. I assure you, they do. I have worked in the ministry of deliverance from Satan’s bondages for more than 20 years. This includes personal counseling as well as teaching.

Just as none of us has actually seen God, Jesus, angels, demons or the wind, we have seen the effects of each of them. Therefore, they are real. In the same way, we humans are body, soul and spirit. Only one part is visible, but Satan strives often to access or invade our minds and spirits.

An ancient military strategy is to divide and conquer. Satan is a master of that. Let us take Flowers’ advice to heart.
