In spite of clear statements in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 1:26-27,
1 Timothy 1:10), many Christians are being squeezed into the practices of our culture. How can a Christian worship where the pastor would marry two people of the same gender? Paul writes: “I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral persons” (1 Corinthians 5:9). How do we apply this? Can we go to a ballgame on Pride night or to the town park when a Pride flag is flying and Pride singers are performing? If the school promotes Pride activities, does participating in other school activities give the impression that we condone all the school promotes?
We must be prepared to face unrelenting and escalating attacks. Our children will be ridiculed at school; we will be pressured to adopt Pride month and other LGBTQ advocacy at work; our churches, schools and ministries will be marginalized and worse. In Luke 18:8, Jesus asks: “Will you be faithful until I return?”
