Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA is beginning a three-year, $350,000 campaign to support emerging communities of faith and strengthen the conference through 2025.
The Tending Transformation Campaign was announced at CDC’s June 23-25 annual meeting in Goshen, Ind. Half will provide grants for emerging communities of faith. A new half-time associate conference minister to relate to such groups will be supported by $100,000. Other amounts will provide resources for the CDC’s Missional Church and Ministerial committees.
A clergy development fund will provide seminary scholarships, support continuing education and offer support for wholistic health. A missional activities fund will expand missional partnerships and develop faithful responses to injustices.
Commitments are in place for more than $200,000.
