Sarah Augustine, a Pueblo (Tewa) woman, lives with her family in White Swan, Washington. She is the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, and is a member of Seattle Mennonite Church. She is co-founder of Suriname Indigenous Health Fund and the Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery Coalition.
In recent weeks, the remains of more than 1,000 Indigenous children have been found at former residential schools in Canada.
